TECHNICAL EXAMINATION
The Indian Army is the land-based part of the Indian Armed Forces. Job opportunities are plentiful in the Indian Army. Though there are hundreds of diverse activities in the defence services, but the real action is experienced by the soldiers who are on the general duties. For the recruitment of soldiers, the Indian Army conducts an examination called 'Indian Army Soldier divided in various categories named Army GD (General Duty), SKT (Storekeeper), Technical, NA (Nursing Assistant), Clerk and Havildar. Recruitment for these posts is done through rallies which Indian Army releases from time to time. This examination is generally held four times in a year and is advertised in the Employment News and other leading dailies.

Indian Army Soldier General Duty


Eligibility Criteria & Exam Process
Age 17.5 yrs- 21 yrs
Educational Qualification 10+2/ Passed 10 with 45% in aggregate & 32% in each subject
Height 163-167 (varies as per different regions)
Weight and Chest 48-50 Kg ( varies as per height) , 77cm
Selection Process PFT -----> Medical Exam-------> Written exam-----> Merit
PFT will include (a) 1 Mile Run
(b) Pull Ups
(c) Balance
(d) 9 Feet Ditch
Written Exam Paper - I (General knowledge, General Science and Maths) - 100 Marks - 1 Hour - Pass Marks 32 *NCC ‘C’ certificate holders are exempted

Trades Chef, Dresser, Tailor, Painter, Steward, Artisan (WW), Support Staff (ER) and Washer man , House Keeper, Mess Keeper and Syce (looks after horses.)

Indian Army Havildar


Eligibility Criteria & Exam Process
Age 20 yrs- 23 yrs & up to 28 years for remustered candidates
Educational Qualification PG/ Graduate in Science (M.Sc/B Sc /MCA/ BCA /B.Tech/B.Sc (IT) or Arts (MA/BA)
Written Exam Examination will be of two parts of 2 Hours Duration:
Part I- (compulsory for all) – 50 Marks – 50 questions ( G.K & English) – Pass Marks 20
Part II (Science) – (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science) – 50 Marks – 50 questions – pass marks 20
Part II (Arts) – (Mathematics, History, Geography, Political Science and Economics) – 50 Marks – 50 questions – pass marks 20

Selection Procedure


Stage-I: Screening

1. 1. Pre-Height Check: Height Bar.
2. 2. Checking of Admit card by BAR CODE READER.
3. 3. Stamping of Admit card.
4. 4. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
o • 1.6 Km Run, o • Beam (Chin up), o • 9 Feet Ditch and o • Zig-Zag Balance. 5. Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Height, Weight and Chest measurement.
6. Documentation check and interview by Director Recruiting.
7. Medical examination.
8. Interview by host director and issue of admit card for Common Entrance Exam.


NEGATIVE MARKS -


2 Mark Will Be Awarded For Every Correct Answer, While ½ Marks Will Be Deducted For A Wrong Answer.


PHYSICAL FITNESS TRAINING

Being physically fit is one of the most important factor to a defence aspiring candidate should have. Not just a factor it one of the important phase every candidate has to qualify so as to get in Indian Armed Forces. Therefore, Sundays in Garud Zep Academy is dedicated for Physical Fitness Training of candidates. The Physical training is done as per the required standards of Indian Armed Forces.

Personality Development

Personality Development Programme lays high emphasis on improving communication skills of students. Language leadership programme works on students to improve their spoken English skills & soft skills so that they can communicate effectively in various situations and will also help them to face the interviews confidently. It prepares students in reading, speaking, listening and writing skills in English language.
These sessions are extensive, highly result oriented and are conducted by highly experienced trainers. It also includes a mentoring program that has been institutionalised to counsel them on key attitudes that they need to focus so as to become an effective leader in future, also inculcate moral values that help them lead a disciplined life.
