Services Selection Board, commonly known as ‘SSB Interview’, is a Personality and Intelligence Assessment Test is conducted specifically to analyze the potential
and compatibility of candidates for commission into the Armed Forces of India as officers.
The interview process is usually spread over a span of five days. It consists of a series of scientific and time tested psychological testing techniques.

• Screening test is done on the very first day of SSB Interview. • Screening test includes Reasoning test, OIR (officer intelligence rating) test & PPDT ( picture perception and description test). • In Garud Zep Academy preparation for OIR and Reasoning are given by our experts along with PPDT preparation on Smart Board. • Screening is done byDefence officer itself as he was a cross-trained psychological officer in various Board.
• Second day of the interview i.e. Psychological test includes TAT( thematic Appreciation test), WAT( Word association test), SDT ( self Description test) and SRT ( situation reaction test). • Classes for psychological test are taken by our expert officers. • Preparation for WAT and TAT is done through projectors. • Separate classes for SDT are provided • Assignments with more than hundreds of questions based on different situations are provided for the preparation of situation reaction test (SRT).
• Third and Fourth day of the interview i.e. Group tasks conducted by GTO includes nine different tasks. • GTO classes are taken by our SSB Expert’s ( Ex. GTO officer). • Daily Classes on Lecturette and Group Discussions are provided. • Various group tasks at our own GTO ground situated at Shikrapur(Pune) with commutation facility. • Training for each obstacle for Group task is given by SSB Expert’s Ten Obstacles: Single Ramp, Double Barrel, Balancing Beam, Screen Jump, Burma Bridge, Tarzan Swing, Double Platform Jump, Double Ditch, Commando Walk, Tiger Leap are Briefed by Expert’s.
Personal Interview Programme lays high emphasis on improving communication skills of students. This programme works on students to improve their spoken English skills & soft skills so that they can communicate effectively in various situations and will also help them to face the SSB Interview confidently.

Garud Zep Academy conducts Regular Mock Tests and Unit Tests, with updated syllabus with latest U.P.S.C pattern.Soon after Mock Test doubt clearing session is conducted in which students can have one on one interaction with our teachers.Motivational seminars are taken by Mr. S S SONAWANE (Director Sir) as per his scheduled program.
“Good health and good sense taken together is what is takes to become an officer in Armed forces”.Physical training as per required standard in armed forces. Garud Zep Academy provides regular physical fitness training by Retd. defence jawans, so that once the candidate joins esteemed defence Institutes (NDA, IMA, OTA, AFA and NA) he/she does not face any sort of Difficulty.
In order to know the performance of the students, Parent -Teacher Meetings are conducted every month in the Garud Zep Academy Office Premises so that the parents get to know their wards' performance. We also award the meritorious students in the Parents Teachers Meetings.
Being a Leading Defence Academy of the country, Garud Zep Academy provides separate Hostel for boys and Girls. We do have our own Mess Facility which is strictly Vegetarian. The rooms are equipped with study table, Chair, Bed & Wardrobe. The rooms have 2 beds, 3 beds and 4 beds capacity
